Matthew Miraldi is a 6'2" 170 pound 2006 outfielder from Grass Valley, California who attends Bear River High School. He has a medium frame and build with square shoulders and is athletically proportioned through out his body. During the workout, he ran a 7.27 60 and threw 82 mph from the outfield that showed his arm strength from a low 3/4 arm slot. Miraldi has good balance on ground balls and and has good first step quickness to get good jumps on fly balls. At the plate, Matthew has a compact swing with good bat speed through the hitting zone. His bat stays in the zone a long time allowing him to make good contact and drive the ball. He is a potential middle of the order hitter who will be able to drive in some runs. Matthew has a good upside and is a good student as well.
