Kyle Morrison is a 2006 right handed pitcher/third baseman from Middlesex, NJ. Morrison has a solid 6'1", 185 pound frame, and was named to the Northeast Underclass Top Prospect Team. He threw from a ¾ arm slot, and his fastball was consistently 84-86 mph. His fastball showed good movement, and had better velocity when he stayed closed through his delivery. Morrison also showed good command of his off speed pitches as he threw a sharp 71 mph slider and a 74 mph change up with good sink and good feel. At the plate, he hits from a wide and balanced stance with a short stride. Morrison has aggressive, quick hands with gap to gap power, and he is definitely a player to watch and a top player for 2006.
