Kyle Maxie is a big strong 6'2/200 catcher from Hattiesburg, MS. He ranks as one of the better catching prospects in hs baseball. He runs fairly well and has a MLB catchers arm. He is a very good receiver but he could improve his footwork just a little. He has a real good swing from the left side that creates good bat speed. At times his swing will get a touch long, but his calm, quiet approach and aggressive swing plays big. He will use the field to smoke line drives. There is some serious power potential here, but right now his swing is more line drive oriented. He is a very highest level college prospect and might get some early draft consideration. Kyle is a very good student. He was selected to the AFLAC All American Team.
