2020 Top Prospects

Connor Carson  RHP - 2020 - Overland Park, KS
Uncommitted

Carson has a strong and pretty mature build and a drop and drive pitching style he repeats well. He pounded the bottom of the zone consistently with a mid-80's fastball, topping out at 87 mph, and started developing feel for locating his slider for strikes in the second inning.

Jalen Martinez  OF - 2020 - Clive, IA
Ball State/Iowa Central CC

An Iowa Central CC signee, Martinez is a very good athlete with fluid actions in the outfield and a strong throwing arm to go with 6.97 speed. His right handed swing has present bat speed and is a high average/high contact approach.

Nathan Schlaiss  RHP - 2020 - Crystal Lake, IL
Frontier CC

Schlaiss worked up to 87 mph on his fastball with lots of life from a quick arm action that has more velocity there with adjustments to his cross-body delivery. He's signed with Frontier CC.

2021 Top Prospects

Brock Daniels  SS - 2021 - St Louis, MO
Missouri

Daniels is a very high level hitter from the left side with effortless plus bat speed and he crushed the ball during both games and batting practice. The Oklahoma commit is also a 6.77 runner with solid infield arm strength.

Adam Ebling  SS - 2021 - St Louis, MO
Tulane

Ebling's big arm strength, which included an event top 91 mph off the mound, and 6.75 speed were both very impressive but they took back seat to the Tulane commits' right handed bat speed and ability to drive the ball with authority.

Payton Allen  SS - 2021 - Rogers, AR
University of Houston

Allen had a strong showcase and the Kansas commit channeled his talent and energy well both offensively and defensively. He graded out as the top defensive infielder at the showcase and showed nice lift and power in his swing.

Matthew Haley  RHP - 2021 - Fenton, MO
Parkland College

Haley is a two-way prospect who graded out higher at this event as a right handed pitcher, where he topped out at 88 mph with nice life when he was throwing from a mid-3/4's slot. He also looks like a high level shortstop on defense.

Elliot Krewson  SS - 2021 - Chesterfield, MO
Dartmouth

Krewson not only had very polished actions on both sides of the ball but he had the tools to back them up, including 6.90 speed and a 90 mph arm in the infield. His right-handed swing was quick and well controlled and he owned right centerfield during the game.

Camden Jordan  OF - 2021 - Carmel, IN
Louisville

Jordan is a high level natural athlete who runs a 6.80 sixty and graded out the best at the showcase in the outfield drills. More consistency in his right handed swing will be the key to his development.

Nolan Self  C - 2021 - Sikeston, MO
Three Rivers CC

Self is a high energy catcher with a nice balance of strength to generate right handed bat speed and power and hip quickness and flexibility to set up and shift well behind the plate.

Nathan McFall  C - 2021 - Mahomet, IL
Southwestern Illinois College

McFall has a chiseled 5-10/180 build and plenty of athletic ability across the entire spectrum. He's a 6.98 runner and could end up either at catcher or in the outfield defensively and he generates plenty of raw bat speed with an aggressive right-handed swing.

Lee Allen Jr.  2B - 2021 - Kansas City, MO
Kansas City Kansas CC

The key to Allen's game are his hands, as they shine both on defense, where he profiles as a future second baseman, and as a right handed hitter, where he has a quick swing and a very accurate barrel. He's also a 6.94 runner.

Cole Askew  SS - 2021 - Topeka, KS
Cloud County CC

Askew is a versatile and high energy athlete on the baseball field who showed well both in the infield and outfield while working in the mid-80's off the mound. He showed nice right-handed bat speed with some jump off the bat due to his aggressiveness.

Kaden Byrne  C - 2021 - Chesterfield, MO
Drury University

Bryne comes from a baseball family and the amount of baseball he's played shows in his approach to the game. His best tool is his right-handed power potential and he absolutely crushed what looked like a sure game home run if the event had been outdoors. He also has a strong throwing arm behind the plate.

Jacob Frost  1B - 2021 - Saint Louis, MO
Kansas State/Wabash Valley College

Frost has a big 6-2/210 build and a smooth and powerful left-handed swing that was consistently on time and squaring up the ball. He looks solidly like a next level hitter. He also showed sound defensive skills at first base with a strong arm for the position.

Parker Johnson  RHP - 2021 - Breese, IL
Missouri State

Johnson is a very good natural athlete with a projectable 6-3/185 build and 6.92 speed in the sixty. He was up to 87 mph with a fast and loose arm from a high energy delivery and threw both a curveball and a short cutter-like slider.

2022 Top Prospects

Trevor Moore  RHP - 2022 - Golden, CO
Stanford

The strong bodied Colorado resident has picked up 6 mph from the summer and topped out at 90 mph while sitting in the upper 80's and not showing much effort getting to his top velocities. Improvement in his secondary pitches will take him the next step up the prospect ladder.

Benjamin Ayala  RHP - 2022 - Elkhorn, NE
Creighton

Ayala has a very nice young 6-1/175 pitcher's build and is a solid overall athlete. His arm works very well and he was up to 87 mph with nice late sinking life that generated lots of weak ground ball contact.

Ean Compton  LHP - 2022 - Princeton, IL
Uncommitted

Compton worked in the 80-83 mph range with his fastball with more velocity there as he matures physically but his best pitch was his curveball. Once he got comfortable with his release point, it was a big and sharp swing and miss pitch that seriously changed eye levels.

Jack DuMont  LHP - 2022 - Wildwood, MO
Uncommitted

DuMont has an extremely projectable young 6-3/180 build and a loose and quick arm on the mound. He topped out at 82 mph but with plenty more velocity there, probably in the near future, to go with a big sweeping slider that he had very good feel for locating.

Ryan Snell  OF - 2022 - Naperville, IL
Uncommitted

The 6-2/190 Snell is going to be a big and strong young man by the time he's a senior and beyond. He has classic right field tools as a player, with plenty of arm strength from the outfield to go with very projectable right-handed power at the plate.

Daniel Flier  OF - 2022 - Creve Coeur, MO
Uncommitted

Flier is a primary outfielder but graded out higher as a right handed pitcher at this event. He worked in the 82-85 mph range with big downhill angle and some additional sink on his fastball while also showing nice feel for his secondary pitches, especially his change up.

2023 Top Prospects

Nathan Rogalski  LHP - 2023 - Oklahoma City, OK
Oklahoma State

Rogalski has an excellent young pitcher's build and a fast left arm that produced a fastball up to 84 mph and a slider that was sharp and big at times from an extended 3/4's release. He's very athletic and could make a big jump over the next few years.

Brysen Nepute  OF - 2023 - Weldon Spring, MO
San Jacinto CC

Nepute is very strong for a freshman and really showed his athleticism well, running a 6.97 and throwing 89 mph from the outfield with outstanding actions for a freshman.

Tanner Pierce  SS - 2023 - Kennett, MO
Uncommitted

The 6-2/165 Pierce is very projectable and showed a nice balance of offensive and defensive tools as a two-way prospect. He was up to 84 mph on the mound while showing good hands on defense and some developing right-handed bat speed on offense.
