5-Royal vs 4-Purple Game Highlights

5/15/2022

Tyler Mays (2023 OF, Winfield, AL) employed a true three pitch mix in his two innings of work with a fastball that got up to 83 mph while living in the low 80’s throughout. The curveball landed with more 12-6 shape working vertically through the zone. His changeup rounds out the arsenal with arm side fading action as he does a nice job killing spin on the pitch.

Braden Fox (2024 OF, Auburn, AL) worked two clean innings to cap off what was a solid weekend on both sides of the ball. The fastball showed well above average spin numbers consistently spinning over (2400 RPM’s) and generating a handful of swings and misses. The curveball showed as the primary off speed with 11-5 shape. At the plate he went out with a long drive to the pull side showing more of what we had already seem from him this weekend.

Hunter Hogan (2025 SS, Tullahoma, TN) topped out at 83 mph with his fastball but it was the curveball that that stole the show. The curveball showed hard downer action spinning as high as 2500 RPM’s. The breaking ball fastball combo project well together with the two pitches playing off the same plane showing solid arm speed to work with.

Jayden Adcox (2023 C, Forest, MS) ended his weekend with another solid offensive performance going 2-for-2 in the finale with a run scored. The power became apparent during batting practice and his barrel accuracy became more than apparent throughout the games with multiple hard hit balls.

Isaiah Pou (2023 SS, McDonough, GA) took some of the more impressive in game swings of the weekend. The junior short stop followed up his bomb on Saturday with a double down the line in left field as he came out of the box aggressive and took the extra base. On the other side of the ball he showed the same smooth actions in game play as we saw from him in workouts.

5-Royal vs 3-Green Game Highlights

5/15/2022

Austin Uptain (2024 SS, Athens, AL) shows some athleticism on the mound with a quick delivery and some solid arm speed to his whole arsenal. The fastball ran up to 85 mph while settling in the low 80’s and showing a 2-seam, 4-seam mix. He also mixed in a firm slider in the mid 70’s.

Mason Brewer (2024 OF, Munford, AL) picked up two hits to cap off a good weekend utilizing his speed and twitchy hands to showcase a well-rounded offensive profile. The left-handed swing gets through the zone with intent and some leverage at the point of contact.

Reed Hartsfield (2024 OF, Birmingham, AL) bounced back with a quick second inning as he started pounding the zone with a fastball that topped out at 82 mph. He also showed some feel for a late breaking curveball in the upper 60’s with swing and miss potential.

Preston Treadaway (2025 RHP, Baton Rouge, LA) will be a fun arm to watch over the next few years with obvious room to project on the frame as he shows plenty of length in the limbs. The fastball got up to 82 mph and was paired with a well tunneled low 70’s breaking ball.

Spence Coffman (2022 SS, Corinth, MS) got a good piece of one in his first at bat of day two driving a ball well over the head of the center fielder for a triple. The quickness in the hands get the barrel to contact quick and produces jump off the barrel to all fields.

4-Purple vs 3-Green Game Highlights

5/15/2022

Tucker Cagle (2023 LHP, Vinemont, AL) put his fingerprints all over the game with a single in the top of the first inning driving a fastball into left-center field. He then hopped on the bump in the bottom half of the inning and ran his fastball up to 87 mph while sitting in the mid 80’s throughout. He flashed a 1-7 breaking ball as well as a changeup with turn-over action as complimentary off speed pitches.

Jayden Adcox (2023 C, Forest, MS) generated plenty of swing and miss with his curveball over hit three inning on the mound. The breaking ball fastball combo play well off one another with the fastball running hard arm side in the low 80’s topping out at 84 mph. His ability to tunnel the two pitches off of one another was a huge factor in his five strikeouts over three innings.

Isaiah French (2023 C, Maryville, TN)  picked up two hits in game one on Sunday, both times taking a fastball back up the middle for a single. He does a nice job taking a direct path to the ball with the barrel allowing him to be efficient with his plate coverage.

Banks Teater (2025 C, Magee, MS) jumped on the mound with an impressive inning running his fastball up to 85 mph while sitting 83-84 mph throughout. He mixed in a hard sweeping slider in the mid 70’s with good horizontal action through the hitting zone.

Benjamin Kennedy (2025 3B, Mendenhall, MS) followed up a strong pitching performance from yesterday with two hits in game one of Sunday. He shows good balance to the swing matching plane with good intent at the point of contact.

Batting Practice Highlights

5/14/2022

Tucker Cagle (2023 LHP, Vinemont, AL) was routinely on the barrel throughout his round of batting practice lacing line drives to the pull side of the field. The hands work on a level track through the hitting zone with some projectable bat speed helping to produce the jump off the bat.

Zackary Johnson (2025 C, Madison, AL) showed a very simple approach with a very level bat path getting the barrel to the ball at a high rate. The ball jumps off the bat with solid bat speed that will only continue to improve with added strength.

Bricen Smith (2024 2B, Perry, GA) starts slightly open in his stance and does a nice job of getting back to even with a simple stride and load. The ball comes off the barrel best to the pull side with some loft to the path.

Jayden Adcox (2023 C, Forest, MS) displayed some solid power in his right-handed swing driving balls to the wall in left field with an easy lofted swing. He shows some present strength in the lower half that shows up in the swing.

Gabriel Britto (2024 1B, Gadsden, AL) does a nice job being on time with the barrel with a smooth bat path creating back spin and carry on the ball flight. The barrel accuracy project well as an impact hitter in the middle of a lineup.

Caden Mason (2023 C, Warrior, AL) does a nice job of getting the lower half involved while creating some leverage at the point of contact. The ball jumps to the pull side with good strength in the hands.

Banks Teater (2025 C, Magee, MS) showed good timing and rhythm to his left-handed swing with an ability to get the ball in the air working from the opposite field gap to the pull side with an easy swing.

Gardner Young (2025 LHP, Madison, MS) has a good feel for what he is trying to do at the plate swinging from a strong base in his left-handed swing. The ball comes off the barrel with some jump getting in the air easily with some loft to the bat path.

Spence Coffman (2022 SS, Corinth, MS) gets the barrel through the zone with some good intent. His level bat path keeps him on plane through the hitting zone for a long with creating hard hit line drive contact.

Austin Uptain (2024 SS, Athens, AL) starts with a wider base and uses it to get to a power position in the lower half and leverage the baseball. The ball comes off best to the pull side with some more power to come as he continues to mature and add strength.

Samuel Tumminello (2025 C, Carriere, MS) controlled the barrel well in his round using the strength in the hands to drive the ball up the middle and to the pull side with some hard-line drive contact.

Alijah Abram (2024 OF, Hoover, AL) creates some loud contact with his right-handed swing using his lower half well to create power from the ground up. The bat path gets on plane early at his best and matches through contact with good extension at his best.

Isaiah Pou (2023 SS, McDonough, GA) drove the ball with authority to the pull side working with a tight turn to contact and some projectable bat speed. His overall twitch to his game is a definite plus showing up in the offensive side of his game.

Braden Fox (2024 OF, Auburn, AL) is consistently on time with his left-handed swing using a toe tap trigger. The hands have good twitch through the hitting zone with a compact bat path that allows him to use the entire field.

3-Green vs 5-Royal

5/14/2022

Patrick Litz (2023 LHP, Prattville, AL) worked a clean first two innings hanging back-to-back zeros on the scoreboard. The fastball lived in the upper 70’s while striking out six over three innings. The curveball proved to be more than effective against left-handed hitters landing glove side with big depth. He also munched on a fastball in his last at bat drive a ball to the wall for a stand up triple.

Hunter Hogan (2025 SS, Tullahoma, TN) jumped a fastball in game two for the Royal team driving a ball just shy of the warning track in the left field. He does a nice job of holding his angle through the zone with a strong top hand as he barreled up multiple balls throughout the day showing barrel accuracy.

Owen Newsome (2024 C, Dothan, AL) took a mature approach in the box getting a pitch he could handle in a plus count and driving it to the wall in left field for a standup double. He did a nice job getting the foot down on time with a simple stride.

Caden Mason (2023 C, Warrior, AL followed up a solid round of batting practice with a laced single through the pull side in game action. The ball jumps off the bat to the pull side with the strength in the frame translating well to the swing.

Charlie Graves (2025 OF, Fayetteville, AR) did a nice job on the mound in the final two innings working with good pace and throwing enough strikes to stay ahead in counts. He ran his fastball up to 81 mph while striking out five hitters over two innings.

4-Purple vs 5-Royal Game Highlights

5/14/2022

Gardner Young (2025 LHP, Madison, MS) was effective in his three innings of work with a smooth delivery coming down the mound. The fastball sat in the low 80’s for the most part with some deception from a crossfire delivery. The curveball shows some two-plane shape with consistent arm speed to the fastball coming out of the same higher three-quarters arm slot.

Spence Coffman (2022 SS, Corinth, MS) started off hot at the plate and on the mound for the Royal team. He picked up a single through the right side with a short compact swing. On the mound he topped out at 87 mph with 2200 RMP’s and mixing in a fading changeup that he showed an ability to deaden the spin.

Tyler Mays (2023 OF, Winfield, AL) picked up a triple in game two for the purple team sneaking a ball inside the third base bag. He was able to get to the fastball down and in getting to the inner half of the ball to keep it fair.

Braden Fox (2024 OF, Auburn, AL) stood out on both sides of the ball with a base hit the other way and a diving catch in the outfield. The barrel control stood out in batting practice and projects well with his above average speed.

Isaiah Pou (2023 SS, McDonough, GA) went big fly in game two for the purple squad clipping the a fastball at the bottom of the zone and driving it out over the left field wall. The swing path is short and concise to the ball with a good punch at contact.

Corey Brown (2023 1B, Acworth, GA) ran his fastball up to 82 mph while racking up four strikeouts in just two innings. He does a nice job of using his lower half and using the fastball to attack the hitters at the top of the zone for some swing and miss.
