Purple vs Royal Game Highlights

2/28/2021

Kendall Lyons (2022 RHP, Gurnee, IL) started things off for the Royal team on the bump, sitting 86-88 mph and topping out at 89 mph. The junior has a large frame and a quick arm that's easy to project upon, and he was attacking hitters with fastballs on both sides of the plate. 

Dominik McVay (2022 OF, Mineral Point, WI) struck out two of the four batters he faced in this one, doing a a great job of mixing speeds and locations. Th primary outfielder sat 81-83 mph, topping out at 84 mph with feel for both a slider and a curveball. 

Caleb Karll (2023 OF, Madison, WI) has a power-hitting profile, and displays quick hands and the ability to reach extension. He is willing to go with the pitch wherever it is thrown, and he put together a couple of tough-fought at bats today. 

Matthew Mueller (2022 LHP, Brookfield, WI) is a 6-foot-5 left-hander with limitless projection as he continues to fill out the frame. He sat 85-88 mph and utilized his slider often, striking out five of the six batters he faced. 

Hunter Pudlo (2022 RHP, Antioch, IL) has a massive, 6-foot-6, 250-pound frame and the physicality really stands out. He sat 87-89 mph with a max effort delivery, flashing good command of a 79 mph wipeout slider.

Ryan Roehl (2022 RHP, West Bend, WI) displayed a smooth and fluid delivery on the mound, sitting 85-88 mph with some arm side run to it. The junior has a long and loose arm action that projects very well alongside his athletic frame and feel for the zone. He would go on to strike out three of the six batters he faced during his outing. 

Luke Weber (2024 RHP, Highland Park, IL) is a young prospect with some significant arm talent. He features a long and loose arm action that projects well, and he sat 79-81 mph while striking out two batters in this one. 

Brady Davidson (2023 3B, Pleasant Prairie, WI) is a well built lefty with quick hands and present bat speed. He covers all parts of the zone well, and roped a hard grounder in the four hole in this one. 

Maxamillion Martin (2023 1B, Franklin, WI) has a thick build with present strength, and he used that strength well in his second at bat, roping a double to right field. 

James Vargas (2022 SS, Hartland, WI) ran his fastball up to 86 mph in this one, showing a slider and a changeup to complete the three pitch mix. His stuff proved to be overpowering, as he went on to strikeout both of the batters he faced. 

Noah Wech (2024 SS, Manitowoc, WI) showed promising two-way potential and a quick arm during his look, sitting 79-82 mph. He attacked hitters all game and commanded each pitch well, flashing legit pitchability.

Jackson Adams (2023 OF, Janesville, WI) hit one on the screws in his last at bat of the day, ending on a high note. The lefty showed quick hands, turning one one and smacking a double to right centerfield


Green vs Navy Game Highlights

Caleb Guden (2022 OF, Medford, WI) Showed a quick, compact path to contact with quick hands through the zone. Displayed present strength at contact hammering a double in his second at bat on a hanging changeup. 

Dominic Kibler (2023 C, New Berlin, WI) Showed good balance at the plate with good feel for the barrel. Was able to sit on both fastball and off speed pitches consistently. Doubled in his first at bat of the game. 

Landen Lozier (2023 2B, Green Bay, WI) Mature approach at the plate and showed the ability to track the baseball deep into the hitting zone. Swung with intent and looked to drive the ball with authority. Doubled in his last at bat of the game.

Miles Nelson (2023 1B, Cottage Grove, WI) Stays behind the baseball well and showed the ability to turn the barrel with authority. Created present bat speed and generated loud, hard contact when squared. Doubled down the third base line in his last at bat of the game. 

Michael Miller (2023 RHP, Mendota, MN) Utilized a fluid, balanced delivery while releasing from a high three-quarters arm slot. Fastball generated good downhill tilt with occasional run to arm side in the low to mid 80's, topped at 86 mph. Also flashed a sharp 11/5 curveball with late bite in the low 70's. Also impressed offensively showing strong hands at contact with the ability to drive the ball through the gaps. Doubled in his first at bat of the game.

Will Fletcher (2022 RHP, Wheaton, IL) Showed a loose arm action through extension while releasing from a three-quarters slot. Fastball jumped out of hand well with good life. Consistently located to the bottom quadrants of the zone topping at 85 mph. Curveball also showed tight spin with late, hard bite to the bottom of the zone in the upper 60's.

Lleyton Grubich (2023 LHP, McHenry, IL) The 2023 grad released from a low three-quarters arm slot that generate natural sink and run with a fastball that topped at 84 mph. Showed good feel for the outer edge of the plate with fastball offering. Flashed a very deceptive changeup that created late fade to the bottom of the zone in the mid 70's as well. Also impressed at the plate. Kept hands inside the baseball well showing good barrel control throughout the zone. Utilized a line drive approach and picked up two base hits in game action.

Deuce Musial II (2023 RHP, De Pere, WI) Utilized a high energy delivery while releasing from a three-quarters arm slot. Showed good feel for his fastball with the ability to consistently locate to the bottom quadrants of the strike zone, topped at 83 mph. Curveball had 11/5 shape with solid spin and shorter depth in the upper 60's. Consistently changed speeds and kept hitters off balance.

David Matuszak (2022 2B, Madison, WI) Showed a clean, line drive barrel plane through the zone with good strength at contact. Utilized an aggressive approach at the plate and looked to attack the baseball. Doubled in his last at bat of the game. 

Cole Selvig (2023 RHP, Altoona, WI) Utilized a smooth, balanced delivery while working to the plate. Very quick arm through extension that produced an explosive fastball at 91 mph. Fastball also produced heavy, late run to arm side. Curveball showed 12/6 shape with very tight spin and late, hard depth to the bottom of the zone. Consistently challenged hitters while effectively changing speeds.

Jenkin Alexander (2022 2B, Sun Prairie, WI) The 2022 grad showed a compact, direct hand path to contact with good feel for the barrel. Consistently threw hands well to baseball creating sharp contact off the barrel. Showed the balance to work to all fields with ease throughout his round. 

Elijah Jenkins (2022 C, Jackson, WI) Utilized a naturally lifted barrel plane through extension with the ability to generate back spin of the barrel. Threw hands to contact well and generated solid contact to the middle of the field between the gaps.

Max Semancik (2022 OF, Franklin, WI) Showed a mature, balanced approach at the plate. Keeps hands inside the baseball well while employing a mid field approach. Consistently produced sharp line drive contact throughout his round.

Joseph Wisniewski (2022 OF, Grosse Pointe Woods, MI) Employed an aggressive approach at the plate with a naturally lifted barrel plane. Displayed present bat speed through the zone with the ability to turn barrel to contact. Created hard, loud contact to all fields when on time and squared.

Brandon Hanley (2022 C, Huntley, IL) Utilized a smooth, fluid barrel plane through extension with the ability to control bat head. Generated tight back spin off the barrel when squared showing the strength to split the gaps when squared.

Dominic Kibler (2023 C, New Berlin, WI) The 2023 grad displayed good balance at the plate while attacking the baseball with intent. Created good extension out front with present strength at contact. Consistently drove the ball with authority to the middle of the field.

Haden Kriston (2022 1B, Northbrook, IL) Hands work on a compact, direct path to baseball with a naturally leveraged barrel plane through extension. Displayed plus bat speed with the ability to drive the ball with ease. Consistently produced very loud, hard contact throughout his round. 

Michael Miller (2023 RHP, Mendota, MN) Showed present bat speed with the ability to turn barrel head to contact with authority. Consistently attacked the baseball and generated tight backspin off the barrel to the middle of the field and pull side gap. 

Parker Wyatt (2023 3B, Shorewood, WI) The 2023 grad showed good balance in his lower half while utilizing a naturally leveraged barrel plane through extension. Showed present strength at contact with good hand strength. Consistently drove the ball with intent created hard, loud contact. 

Lleyton Grubich (2023 LHP, McHenry, IL) Worked to contact with rotational lower half actions and showed good feel for the barrel. Threw hands to contact well with the ability to work to all fields when balanced. Consistently created sharp contact throughout his round while working to all fields. 

Kaleb Wilkey (2023 C, Manhattan, IL) The Illinois native showed a balanced approach at the plate with a repeatable barrel plane. Displayed present bat speed with the ability to generate solid barrel whip through extension. Consistently created hard contact to the middle of the field between the gaps. 

Caleb Karll (2023 OF, Madison, WI) The Madison native showed good maturity at the plate with present bat speed. Controlled barrel well to all parts of the zone with the ability to go with pitch located. Consistently barreled the baseball throughout his round. 

Matthew Mueller (2022 LHP, Brookfield, WI) Threw hands to contact well with the ability to control the barrel. Stays balanced throughout this swing and consistently worked to the middle of the field producing sharp contact off the barrel. 

Reggie Sharpe (2024 SS, Grosse Pointe Park, MI) The Michigan native showed good balance with his lower half while utilizing rotational actions to contact. Keeps hands inside baseball well and showed a knack for finding the barrel. Produced sharp contact throughout his round.

Cal Sullivan (2023 C, Cedar Rapids, IA) Clean hand path to contact with a naturally lifted barrel plane through extension. Displayed present bat speed and strength at contact with the ability to drive the ball to the gaps with ease when on time and squared. 

Jackson Adams (2023 OF, Janesville, WI) The 2023 grad displayed a smooth, fluid barrel plane through extension. Looked to attack the baseball with intent and produced good barrel whip through the zone. Consistently created hard contact to the middle fo the field throughout his round.

Consistently worked to all fields showing the bat speed to split both outfield gaps. Also showed the ability to turn the barrel to contact and produce loud, hard contact to the pull side gap. 

Justin Gorski (2023 SS, Rockford, IL) Displayed good hand quickness through the zone while utilizing a repeatable line drive barrel plane through extension. Stays behind baseball well at contact with the balance to work to all fields. Consistently created sharp contact to all fields. 

Maxamillion Martin (2023 1B, Franklin, WI) Utilized a simple, repeatable hand path to contact with present bat speed through extension. Stays balanced throughout his swing showing good feel for the barrel. Consistently produced sharp line drive contact to all fields throughout his round.

Jackson Hunley (2023 RHP, Sun Prairie, WI) Impressed at the plate today showing very quick hands through the zone with present bat speed. Consistently generated hard, loud contact off the barrel collecting two extra base hits. 

Alexander Owen (2022 OF, Saint Johns, MI) Stays inside the baseball well and showed good feel for the barrel. Showed good balance throughout his swing and also flashed good strength when on time. Picked up a double in game action.

Gavin Gawronski (2022 RHP, Wauwatosa, WI) Utilized a clean, repeatable delivery while releasing from a three-quarters slot. Showed good feel for fastball with the ability to locate to each edge if the plate, topped at 83 mph. Cuveball had 11/5 shape with solid spin and good depth. Was able to create swings and misses when locating curveball to the bottom quadrants of the zone.

Matthew Cuzco (2022 RHP, Chicago, IL) Utilized lower half well while driving the the plate. Fastball jumped out of hand well generating good run to arm side in the mid 80's, topped at 86 mph. Showed a tight slight with good tilt to glove side in the mid 70's. Looked to attack hitters and induced weak contact.

Logan Voelz (2024 3B, Antioch, IL) Utilized a clean arm action through extension. Fastball jumped out of hand well generating natural cut to glove side in the low to mid 80's, topped at 85 mph. Curveball showed true 12/6 shape with late depth in the upper 60's.

Theo Zeidler (2022 SS, Suamico, WI) Released from a three-quarters slot and generated good arm whip through extension. Fastball jumped out of hand well producing good life through the zone in the mid 80's, topped at 87 mph. Curveball showed 12/6 shape with tight spin and good depth in the low 70's. Consistently attacked hitters and effectively changed speeds.

Preston Glatt (2024 2B, Ankeny, IA) Utilized a compact, direct hand path to contact. Created good extension through the zone as well. Consistently attacked the baseball with intent and looked to drive the baseball with authority. Doubled in his first at-bat of the game.
