5- Purple Vs. 6- Red Game Highlights

8/9/2020

Kyle Zaslaw (2021 3B, Yorktown Heights, NY) doubled in his last at bat of the day. Zaslaw Zaslaw showed a sound approach at the plate with a smooth swing. 

James O' Connell (2022 OF/RHP, Boston, MA) doubled in the game for the purple team. O'Connell showed pop in his bat with lift. 

Hagan Ward (2023 RHP, Wellesley, MA) sat 79-83mph on his fastball mixing in his slider at 69mph and his changeup at 74mph. Ward pitches from a lower extended arm slot with sink to his fastball and a good feel for his changeup with fading life. 

Savier Paige (2022 SS, Wethersfield, CT) showed well at short stop today. Paige has good smooth actions at short with lateral agility and an accurate arm. At the plate Paige lined a single to RF. Paige showed a level swing with a confident approach at the plate. 

Evan Orourke (2022 OF, Arlington, MA) singled this afternoon. Orouke showed a line drive swing plane with bat speed.

2-Gray vs 4-Navy Game Highlights

8/9/2020

Aaron Siegal (2021 3B, Abington, MA) showed power potential at the plate, collecting a ground-rule double in game action today. Siegal uses a fairly simple approach at the plate with present bat speed and strong lower half to drive the ball. 

Mark Henshon (2022 SS, Wellesley, MA) continued to impress this weekend. The quick twitch athlete showed the propensity to find the barrel with numerous well-struck line drives including a double to the wall in game action today. 

Sebastian Ortiz (2023 SS, Norwood, MA) showed good adjustability at the plate, shooting a double down the line in game action. Ortiz uses a fairly simple approach with quick hands and some feel for his barrel. 

Anthony Makinster (2021 SS, Chandler, AZ) was impressive on both sides of the ball today. The long, lean primary middle infielder collected two hits on the day with quickness to his hands and a short, direct swing path. Had two stolen bases on the day as well. 

Zachary Abbott (2021 RHP, Gloucester, MA) was impressive in his three innings, allowing only one hit and striking out five hitters in this look. The strongly built right-hander worked from a high three-quarters arm slot, pounding the strike zone and topping out at 81 miles per hour. 

 


5- Purple Vs. 7- Royal Game Highlights

8/9/2020

Shane Williams (2022 OF, Georgetown, MA) made solid contact at the plate today. Williams showed an aggressive approach at the plate with an easy swing. 

Alex Lomberto (2022 3B, Franklin, MA) had a good showing at the plate today. Lomberto has a level swing and displayed bat speed. 

Leighton Billings (2022 RHP, Southwick, MA) sat 77-82mph with his fastball with it topping out at 83mph to go along with his curveball at 70mph. Billings showed a quick arm on the mound working down in the zone and a feel for his curveball.

Peyton Heisner (2021 LHP, Lexington, MA) sat 82-85mph with his fastball topping out at 86mph and his curveball at 70mph. Showed good life to his fastball working off his fastball well, and maintained his fastball throughout his outing. 

Cole Mascott (2023 1B/RHP, Newburyport, MA) sat 76-80mph on his fastball topping out at 81 pairing it with a curveball at 71mph. Mascott throws from an extended 3/4 arm slot with short sinking life in to his fastball. 


1-Gold vs. 3-Maroon Highlights

8/9/2020

Jacob Lapp (2021 RHP, Andover, MA): Lapp was very loud in his start on the mound, striking out 3 hitters over 3 strong innings. He ran his fastball up to 87 mph with good life consistently and missed bats with a sharp, late-tilting slider. Lapp is athletic with good arm speed and has big upside. 

Liam Harrington (2022 LHP, Concord, MA): Harrington pitched extremely well in his start, going 3 strong innings. He's got a very projectable body and operates extremely easily on the mound, pounding his fastball over both edges up to 80 mph and landing a curveball for strikes whenever he wanted. He struck out 3 in 3 frames. 

Dante D'Avanzo (2023 SS, Ashland, MA): D'Avanzo put his twitch on display early, using a quick stroke to single on a line and then showing off his wheels, swiping both 2nd and 3rd base, putting him into a position to score on another base hit that inning. He then singled firmly to the opposite field, really showing off that whole field approach. 

Tyler DiNezza (2021 1B, Cranston, RI): DiNezza's strength stands out at the plate and he showed that off in his first AB, driving a missile of a double up the gap, turning around 86 mph up in the zone with ease and really showing off that juice. 

Nicolas Garcia (2022 3B, Leominster, MA): Garcia had some of the loudest contact of the day late in game, getting an elevated fastball and smoking it up the pull gap for a double. He's got very strong hands and leverage in his swing, and has significant power upside long term. 

Gavin Donohue (2022 SS, Melrose, MA): Donahue showed off a very quick stroke in his AB's and was rewarded for it late, smoking a liner double pull-side off a breaking ball. He's athletic and projectable, and really stands out for his bat speed. 

Cody Bowker (2022 OF, Bowdoinham, ME): Bowker pitched in relief and struck out 4 over 2 innings, running his fastball up to 82 mph and showing a good downer curveball as well, throwing strikes and really attacking hitters successfully over the plate. 

Matthew Belleavoine (2022 RHP, Greenville, RI): Belleavoine had a very good game, throwing 3 shutout innings with his fastball reaching 80 mph, and also picking up a pair of base hits on the offensive side, showing his two-way potential. 

Sam Harris (2022 OF, Windham, NH): Harris is a long, lean lefty with a very quick arm, and he ran his fastball up to 81 mph on the mound while striking out 3 in 2 innings, missing bats with a sharp breaking ball as well and really projecting well. 


6- Red Vs. 7- Royal Game Highlights

Thomas White (2023 LHP, Rowley, MA) sat 89-92mph on his fastball today mixing in his curveball at 72mph. White has a fast arm, the balls jumps out of his hand with late life to his fastball and pounded the lower half of the strike zone. At the plate White showed bat speed and smoked a single to RF. 

Jayden Colon (2023 3B, Hyde Park, MA) had a good showing at the plate today. Colon showed a sound approach at the plate with level swing. 

Charlie Walker (2022 RHP/3B, Milton, MA) showed a smooth swing at the plate with a confident approach. 

Carson Walsh (2022 SS/RHP, Sterling, MA) topped out at 85mph on the mound today mixing in his curveball at 73mph. Walsh has a quick arm with sink to his fastball and showed sharp break to his curveball. 

 


5-Purple vs. 7-Royal Highlights

8/8/2020

James O'Connell (2022 OF, Boston, MA): O'Connell announced his presence loudly in the first inning, singling up the middle and then stealing both 2nd and 3rd. He was on base twice in this one and his speed as well as bat-to-ball skills stand out. 

Josh Keevan (2021 LHP, Holden, MA): Keevan was wholly dominant in his 3 shutout innings, striking out 7 and really just toying with hitters. He ran his fastball up to 84 mph from the left side with good angle and command, but the equalizer was his slider, thrown in the low 70's with tremendous tunnel and late bite. 

John Hernandez (2022 3B, Brockton, MA): Hernandez, a primary bat, took the mound in relief and showed very intriguing stuff, including a fastball up to 84 mph with good life and a sharp, late-breaking curveball with good bite. He struck out 4 in 2 innings. 

Leighton Billings (2022 RHP, Southwick, MA): Billings had a solid knock in his AB and stole a base as well, showing off his athleticism and strength. He's a primary pitcher with a lot of talent on the mound as well, and is having a very good weekend. 


3-Maroon vs 4-Navy Game Highlights

8/8/2020

Sebastian Ortiz (2023 SS, Norwood, MA) showed a patient approach at the plate with present bat speed in game action. Displayed level swing plane with line drive impact on a double to left centerfield. 

Nick Lawrence (2021 C, Roswell, GA) showed present bat speed with a short, compact swing and the ability to deliver the barrel on time. Doubled to left centerfield in game play. 

Mark Henshon (2022 SS, Wellesley, MA) stood out defensively with numerous diving plays, showing a strong arm to make accurate throws across the diamond. Quick twitch athlete with present bat speed and level swing plane. 

Matthew Bauer (2021 1B, Framingham, MA) is a high energy athlete with the propensity to find that barrel. Leveraged stroke with good bat-to-ball skills and power potential. Scorched a double down the line in game action. 

Sam Alswang (2021 RHP, Washington, DC) is a physically advanced right-handed pitcher with a fairly simple operation. Fastball worked in the low-80s for the duration of his outing, topping out at 84 miles per hour. Showed command of full mix with ability to manipulate two secondary offerings for both strikes and swings-and-misses. Fierce competitor that struck out six hitters in his three innings. 

Tommy Whitlock (2023 1B, Sherborn, MA) is strongly built right-handed hitter with the ability to drive the baseball with authority to the gaps. Aggressive approach with consistent bat-to-ball skills. Doubled deep to right centerfield in game action. 

Noah Jordi (2024 LHP, Mendon, MA) is a slenderly built LHP/OF with a short, compact swing. Confident approach with consistent bat-to-ball skills and feel for his barrel. Collected two hits on the day. 

 

 


6-Red vs. 7-Royal Highlights

8/8/2020

showCharlie Walker (2022 RHP, Milton, MA): Walker pitched really well in his start in this one, striking out 7 in 3 innings. He mixes and matches at a high level, running his fastball up to 83 mph and missing bats with a curveball, slider, and changeup to round out his arsenal. 

Carson Cormier (2022 RHP, Westford, MA): Cormier was very good in his outing as well, throwing 3 shutout innings with 3 strikeouts. He's long and lean with lots of projection, ran his fastball up to 82 mph with good arm speed, and showed good feel for breaker and changeup as well. 

Nic Frink (2022 C, Scarborough, ME): Frink is primarily a position player but showed well on the mound in this one, running his fastball up to 84 mph with good life and showing both a sharp, tight slider and a bigger-breaking curveball as well, missing bats with the whole arsenal. 

Hagan Ward (2023 RHP, Wellesley, MA): Ward had the lone base hit for the Red team, singling and then stealing a base to represent the only real scoring threat his team had in this one. Ward has lots of projection on his body and could come into real power long term. 

Shane Williams (2022 OF, Georgetown, MA): Williams stays committed to the middle of the field in his approach and hit a firm liner back through the middle for a single in this one, also adding a stolen base. 

Alex Lomberto (2022 3B, Franklin, MA): Lomberto picked up one of the few hits on the day with a single in the 4th inning, stealing a base as well, showing off the hit tool/speed combination that is certainly enticing in a player.

Thomas Galusha (2022 RHP, Middlebury, CT): Galusha started the BP session off with a bang, showing good quick hands that create leverage and the strength to drive the ball when square. 

Ryan Flaherty (2022 SS, Duxbury, MA): Flaherty has a lot of positive hitting traits, including a loose barrel with good bat speed and a very clean path, with significant upside as he continues to gain strength. 

Ronan Donohue (2022 SS, Melrose, MA): Donahue showed some of the better hands of the BP session, consistently squaring the ball up with authority and really showing thunder in those hands. 

Gavin Donohue (2022 SS, Melrose, MA): Donahue does a nice job matching plane with his barrel and as a result shows the ability to spray hard liners to all fields with projection as he gains strength. 

Tim Connor (2021 OF, Chelmsford, MA): Connor has a smooth stroke complete with bat speed and strength, and when he gets the barrel out on time the ball jumps, showing strength up both gaps. 

Cody Bowker (2022 OF, Bowdoinham, ME): Bowker had one of the better rounds of the day, separating well and showing a smooth stroke complete with very good bat speed and strength, really able to drive the ball. 

Connor Podeszwa (2021 RHP, Waterford, CT): Podeszwa really has very good barrel skills and showed the ability to move the barrel around, consistently driving the ball on a line and really having projectable power. 

Samuel Feliciano (2022 1B, East Longmeadow, MA): Feliciano has some of the best strength of this event, and it shows in his swing as he's able to impact the ball authoritatively in all directions when he finds the barrel. 

Nicholas Army (2021 RHP, Paxton, MA): Army showed good quickness to his hands, moving the barrel around the zone and showing the ability to work to all fields on a line. 

Alex Bodnar (2021 2B, North Andover, MA): Bodnar gets into his back hip well and really drives through contact, bringing good bat speed and leverage as well, and showing pretty substantial offensive upside. 

Charlie Walsh (2023 SS, Lexington, MA): Walsh does a good job of getting into his lower half and driving through contact, showing leverage and a good understanding of the barrel with projectable strength as well. 

Mark Henshon (2022 SS, Wellesley, MA): Henshon showed maybe the best raw bat speed of the event, getting the barrel on plane early and whipping through contact with jump on a line and lots of projection. 

Cole Mascott (2023 1B, Newburyport, MA): Mascott turns the barrel early and gets on plane through his stroke, covering the whole plate and showing the ability to spray line drive contact to all fields with good jump off the barrel. 

Josh Keevan (2021 LHP, Holden, MA): Keevan has loose, easy hands at the plate that generate quality bat speed, and he shows the ability to square the ball up with consistency and has the physical projection that should lead to big power. 

Carson Walsh (2022 SS, Sterling, MA): Walsh has very good hands at the plate and the barrel acts accordingly, getting out on time with bat speed and leverage, showing the ability to drive the ball pull-side on a hard line. 

Charlie Walker (2022 RHP, Milton, MA): Walker's strength stands out at the plate, with the ability to really drive the ball when the barrel gets out, and he has the kind of physical projection that leads to potentially big power down the line. 

T J Zagarri (2021 OF, Marblehead, MA): Zagarri showed very quick hands with a line drive stroke and whole-field approach, executing it all well and showing the ability to really spray firm contact to all fields. 

Jackson Petisce (2022 3B, Methuen, MA): Petisce does a nice job separating and getting his foot down on time, showing strength to the path and generating good bat speed. He can drive the ball on a line and has projectable power. 

Nic Frink (2022 C, Scarborough, ME): Frink's strength stands out, and he's able to drive the ball pull-side with authority and strength, showing significant power in that direction with more to come as he continues getting stronger. 


5-Purple vs. 6-Red Highlights

8/8/2020

Eli Robbins (2022 RHP, Holden, MA): Robbins got an elevated fastball in his first at-bat and smoked it up the pull-side gap for an easy double, showing a great combo of bat speed and present loft to his path. He also got on the mound and showed a smooth, easy delivery with a fastball up to 81 mph with life as well as sharp, two-plane curveball. He dominated with 5 strikeouts in 2 innings. 

Sean Yoest (2021 RHP, Foxboro, MA): Yoest started for the Purple team and threw well, running his fastball up to 83 mph with excellent arm side life and sink, also showing sharpness to his slider and missing bats with a firm changeup as well. 

Charlie Walker (2022 RHP, Milton, MA): Walker had two knocks in this one, showing off the same barrel skills that impressed in BP yesterday, and his strength/overall physicality stands out in a substantial way as well. 

Carson Walsh (2022 SS, Sterling, MA): Walsh was on base a couple times, singling firmly and reaching a second time as well, showing off his athleticism and smoothness both on the base paths when stealing bases as well as in the middle infield, where he looked good at shortstop. 

Jayden Colon (2023 3B, Hyde Park, MA): Colon only had 1 AB in this game but made it count, driving a hard liner single to right field that also collected an RBI. The swing is compact and quick, and he's got the ability to hit the ball on a line to all fields. 


1-Gold vs 2-Gray Game Highlights

8/8/2020

Connor Podeszwa (2021 RHP, Waterford, CT) worked 81-83 with his FB while touching 84. Podeszwa consistently missed barrels and worked on the inner third of the plate with regularity. The 2021 grad worked with good tempo and established mound presence while mixing in a SL at 73. The righty finished with 4 strikeouts. 

Thomas Galusha (2022 RHP, Middlebury, CT) threw from a high 3/4 slot, and ran his FB up to 85, and sat 80-83 while attacking the zone. Galusha mixed in a tight spinning slurve at 74 with depth. The 2022 grad has a tall projectable frame with room to fill out, and ability to add velo has he builds strength. 

Dominic Gabardi (2023 OF, Wilmington, MA) did a good job of keeping his hands inside the ball and sprayed a line drive single to RF. The 2023 grad has good feel for the barrel. Gabardi is aggressive on the base paths and stole 1 base, and scored. 

Jack Toomey (2022 OF, Wellesley, MA) is a confident hitter who made loud in game contact. The 2022 grad has present strength in his swing and got the barrel on the ball with ease. 

Aaron Siegal (2021 3B, Abington, MA) has a line drive swing plane, and recognizes pitches well. The 2021 grad is patient and hits where he is pitched. Look for Siegal to hit in the middle of the order swing to do damage. Siegal lined a 1B to CF in game. 

Gavin Schrader (2022 OF, Batavia, NY) doubled & tripled in game action by one hopping the fence in deep RCF then later spraying a LD to LCF. Schrader has a fluid stroke with present gap pop. The 2022 grad moves well and showed good bat speed. This is a top of the order type of bat who hits with gap power to all fields. 

Cooper Gavin (2022 RHP, Beverly, MA) worked 3 hitless and scoreless innings. Gavin topped at 80 with his FB, and mixed in a CB at 69. Gavin also displayed an accurate arm from RF by throwing out the runner at home plate. The 2022 grad also added an opposite field 1B at the plate. 

Ryan Flaherty (2022 SS, Duxbury, MA) doubled in game action to the pull side. Flaherty has quick hands and showed the ability to spin on balls on the inner half. 

Matt Fallon (2021 RHP, Milton, MA) ran his FB up to 85, and sat 81-83. Fallon attacked hitters and pounded the zone while mixing in a 73 CB. Fallon throws with long, loose arm action. 

Owen McKiernan (2021 OF, Durham, NH) picked up tow hits on the day and an RBI. McKieran hits where he is pitched, and showed the ability to keep his hands inside the ball.
