14u WWBA Scout Notes: Day 1 | Day 2

Kruz Schoolcraft (2026, Rivertown, Ore.) continues to show as much, if not more upside than any lefty in the class. The long, lean southpaw once again took the mound and went to town on hitters, moving the fastball around the zone with arm-side run while living pretty much in the mid-80s for most of his three innings. He gets good movement on the fastball and repeats the arm action well to the same lower slot with good extension out front. There is obviously still so much more in the tank with the fastball, but not just with the room to add strength to the 6-foot-4, 170-pound frame but also with the easy actions that he shows going through the delivery. He mixed in the breaking ball and changeup in this look with the breaker working short with horizontal actions and the changeup showing more depth while both pitches were in the low-70s. This was as strong of an outing as you could have expected with three perfect innings while punching out seven, and one that the youngster should be able to spring off of into either a playoff start here in Hoover for USA Prime National at the WWBA or in West Palm Beach at the 14U National Showcase.
