A lot of teams brought their brooms to the field last weekend as there were countless sweeps across the nation. While the LSU Tigers (21-3) were not one of those teams with a perfect week, they did win another SEC series and maintain their position as the No. 1 team in the country. Our No. 2 team, the Florida Gators (22-4) went on the road and swept the Ole Miss Rebels, who are winless in SEC play, and fall to No. 23 this week. Wake Forest (22-3) ascends one spot to No. 3 as they only allowed 2 runs all week and for the first time ever swept Miami, who drops to No. 22. Vanderbilt (19-5) is playing like the best team in the country and jumped to No. 4 after touching up Mississippi State for 55 runs this weekend. Arkansas (20-4) holds on to a spot in the top-5, having their first setback of the season at LSU.

Virginia (22-2) continues to methodically win games and swept the floundering Florida State Seminoles, moving to No. 6 in the poll. No. 9 Tennessee (19-6) recovered nicely from last week and took all three games from Texas A&M who exits the poll. South Carolina (23-2) still leads the nation in wins and though they had a couple tight games against Missouri, they had a clean week and ascend five slots to No. 10 in the rankings. Campbell (19-3) swept this week and have yet to be challenged in Big South conference play, outscoring their opponents 93-18 and are now up to No. 14 in the nation. In the insane Big-12, No. 16 Oklahoma State (20-5) aced Baylor, TCU (15-9) took care of Kansas during their 5-0 week to stay at No. 24, while the hottest team in the nation Texas (18-7) won all 3 against Texas Tech to push their win streak to 14 games. Florida Gulf Coast (21-4) continues their offensive onslaught and went 5-0 on the week and land at No. 19.

Two teams make their season debuts in the top-25 as the Kentucky Wildcats and UConn Huskies have built impressive resumes. While No. 20 Kentucky (21-3) did end their 17-game win streak, they went on the road and won 2 of 3 versus a quality Alabama squad. The Huskies (16-5) put together a perfect 4-0 week and swept a tough Rutgers team and come in at No. 21 nationally. Conference races are heating up across the nation and the college game has never been better. So, be sure to check out our coverage on Twitter @PGCollegeBall this week.
