MARIETTA, Ga. -- Right on the heels of the 17u WWBA National Championship, which wrapped up on July 14 at the East Cobb Complex, the 16u WWBA National Championship kicks off in Atlanta on July 16 and runs through July 23, when a champion will be crowned.

This will be the 19th annual 16u WWBA, and continues to be the best collection of talent at the 16u level across the country. Each of the top-17 overall prospects in the 2024 class are rostered for the event, 28 of the top-30 as well, and 80 of the top-100 prospects overall will be playing.

USA Prime National lays claim to an impressive list of prospects at the 16u WWBA, none more highly-touted than Derek Curiel (No. 1 overall, OF). Curiel will be joined by other top-50 prospects Bryce Rainer (No. 5 overall, SS), Jack Frankel (No. 9 overall, RHP), Burke Mabeus (No. 17 overall, C), Tegan Kuhns (No. 20 overall, RHP), Kash Mayfield (No. 21 overall, LHP), Ty Southisene (No. 33 overall, SS), and Aiden Harris (No. 50 overall, 3B).

Team Elite is back with another talented squad and comes to Atlanta as the winner of three of the last four 16u WWBA National Championships. They will be led by Michael Mullinax (No. 3 overall, OF), Jackson Sanders (No. 13 overall, LHP), and Ford Thompson (No. 31 overall, LHP).

Canes National, winner in 2020 at this event, brings back plenty of talent in 2022. Andre Modugno (No. 6 overall, 3B), Chase Mobley (No. 8 overall, RHP), Owen Paino (No. 19 overall, SS), Drew Graham (No. 22 overall, LHP), PJ Morlando (No. 28 overall, OF), and Carson Messina (No. 51 overall, RHP) headline that group.

Countless other programs will bring rosters capable of taking home a title at the prestigious event, which requires not just top-end talent but necessitates quality depth throughout the roster as well over the eight-day grind.
