18u BCS National Championship Scout Notes: Days 1-2

Aj Silvin (2023, Estero, Fla.) had a nice day at the plate for Victus Elite FL 17u. Silvin has a simple approach in the box, looks to jump on fastballs early in counts, and is patient in looking for his pitch to do damage on. Uses the backside well through his swing, favors the pull side but showed the ability to hit the ball the other way this tournament as well. In his first at-bat, he roped a single into left-center to get things started for his team, later scored a run that inning, and has some speed on the bases as well. Picked up another single later in the game in the same exact fashion, pulling a ball into left field. Athletic middle infielder with quick hands both in the field and at the dish, ended the day going 2-for-4.
