14u World Series Scout Notes: Day 1

This was really interesting this morning. 2026 RHP Adam Riley, @KNIGHTS_BASEBTN, lived comfortably in 81-84 mph range, picked up 6 GB outs over 1st 2 IP. Heavy FB, able to locate down; didn’t go off speed often but landed when did, short spin low-70s. #14uWS https://t.co/95BwQmL3kx pic.twitter.com/6ZtdD7H4B4

Though he came out on the losing end of the start, right-hander Adam Riley (2026, Barren Plains, Tenn.) still more than impressed during his 3 2/3 innings on the mound against one of the top teams not only in the tournament, but the country. Riley stands at a strong and well proportioned 6-foot-2, 172 pounds and never truly let his foot off the gas as he regularly went out and attacked hitters with his fastball, generating heavy life to the bottom of the zone while maintaining his low-80s velocity throughout, peaking at 84 mph routinely.
