NCTB The League: Week 4 Scout Notes

Anthony Murphy (2026, Corona, Calif.) is one of the top talents in the class, and he showed why over the weekend for the back-to-back champion Titans. Murphy strung together loud barrels with relative ease and handled any pitch thrown at him. Impressive display on both sides, intriguing prospect. Physical frame, evident strength that he utilizes well. Stays really short to the ball at his size. Rhythmic right-handed swing, bat speed and whip through the zone with strength in the hands. Stays on velocity and sits on spin well, advanced offensive tools at his age. Drives to both gaps that will only get farther as he fills out. Defensively, Murphy handled center and right field with good bursts of quickness and arm strength. His speed continues to be an underrated part of his game, reaches top gear and accelerates out of the box. The upside and results over four weeks of quality competition speaks for itself at this point. Murphy’s talent has stood out.
