West MLK Scout Notes: Day 1-2


Termarr Johnson (2022, Atlanta, Ga.) was mentioned in the previous scout notes because he showed off a plus hit tool and ability to steal bags. The hit tool was apparent yet again on Monday, showing he can make mid-swing adjustments and drive tough pitches even if he gets slightly out front. On day four, the top-ranked prospect showcased another reason as to why he is considered the best bat in the class. He showed off his light tower power with a massive home run that landed deep beyond the right field wall. Despite being undersized, Johnson has the ability to produce the power of a middle of the order slugger with relative ease. The barrel accuracy and ability to create loft allows him to tap into his massive power often during games. The plus hit and power tools make Johnson one of the most lethal bats of this year's draft and one of the most exciting hitters in recent memory.
