Yale Griffiths (2024, Leawood, Kan.) put together a solid showing on the bump for Mac N Seitz – Whitcomb, going five strong innings with seven strikeouts to lead them to a first round playoff victory over Rhino Wisconsin 2024 – Schaefer. Griffiths topped out at 81 mph and sat 76-80 mph during his outing. The fastball showed significant arm-side run, and he did a great job of playing into the movement by constantly throwing it on the hands of right-handed hitters. The rising sophomore has an uber-projectable, 6-foot-1, 175-pound frame with plenty of physical development remaining. Further development of his secondaries will be key, as his curveball shows the correct shape, and it will continue to improve as he spins it harder. All in all, the right-hander's fastball movement and frame are both promising signs for the future.
