Adrian Quinonez (2021, Lehigh, Fla.) displayed a dominant pitching performance for JSB Tigers 18u on Saturday against Tampa Skyhawks White. Quinonez’ impressive stat line included 12 strikeouts in five innings while only allowing one hit and three walks. His over-the-top arm slot allowed for effective downhill action on both his fastball and curveball. He worked with consistent command on both sides of the plate with the impressive ability to get his fastball glove side against right-handed hitters. The fastball sat comfortably at 82-85 mph, while the curveball sat 67-70 mph. Quinonez also displayed an impressive snap pickoff move to first base. As if his performance on the mound wasn’t enough, he also had a 3-for-3 day at the plate.
