We’ve now reached June which means the high school season is only a couple weeks from being done in all parts of the country, as the northern states and California reach their playoff rounds, while we were able to crown some more state champions over the last week, including No. 10 Baylor (Tenn.), No. 16 Parkview (Ga.), No. 21 American Fork (Utah), No. 23 Houston County (Ga.) and No. 31 The First Academy (Fla.). As we move closer to releasing the final rankings of the season and crowning a national champion, the rankings should continue to see a good bit of movement as they did this week.

While the top five teams held their order, Madison Central (Miss.) moved up a spot to No. 6 after winning the north state title, which punched their ticket to the state championship series this week. JSerra (Calif.) moves up to No. 8 after winning the Trinity league with a huge series win over Orange Lutheran (Calif.), who just slides down to No. 11 this week. Friendswood (Texas) moves up to No. 9 as they continue through the Texas playoffs and Baylor (Tenn.) slides up to No. 10 after winning a state title in Tennessee. Rockwall-Heath (Texas) continues their rise up to No. 13 as they also continue to move along in the Texas playoffs, while newly-minted state champions Parkview (Ga.), American Fork (Utah) and Houston County (Ga.) make more big jumps to No. 16, No. 21 and No. 23 respectively.

A couple of the biggest jumps this week start with new No. 25 Liberty, as they claimed the top state title in Arizona recently, while Buchanan (Calif.) continues to play well in Central California, The First Academy (Fla.) won a very difficult state championship in Florida, Bishop Eustace (N.J.) has been dominant at 20-0 in the Northeast and Harvard Westlake (Calif.) just swept what was seen as a talented Notre Dame team in California. Three new teams make their way into the rankings this week as St. Joes Montvale (N.J.) comes in at No. 38 after completing a sweep of Bergen Catholic and series win over Don Bosco Prep, while Blue Valley (Kan.) comes in at No. 39 as the top team in Kansas. Marist (Ill.) makes the final spot in the rankings as they move to 28-4 with numerous big wins in the Ohio Valley region.
