His fastball got on hitters quick, and he pounded the zone and attacked all game.

Hunter Hargett (2021, San Diego, Calif.) closed the door for the Canes, throwing two innings of shutout ball and punching out four opposing batters. The San Diego State commit sat 87-90 mph, touching 91, and was not afraid to throw inside and get in on the hands of opposing hitters. He flashed two quality breaking balls, one being a heavy slider at 84 mph with sharp cut action to it, the other being a hammer curveball with nice depth and more of a hump to it. He made quick work of his outing and showed feel for the zone, walking no one and throwing just 25 pitches in his two innings.
