Sophomore Coastal Fall Worlds Series

Luke Proehl (South Riding, VA 2023) with a tall and strong frame goes right after the hitters with great downhill action on the ball. The uncommitted right- handed pitcher is playing for the Stars Baseball Matta with great feel of the strike zone moving the ball on the inside and outside corners with ease. Proehl’s fastball has late life and is quickly on top of the hitters. He mixes in a disappearing slider that has straight down action, which the hitters read as a fastball until the last second. He finished going five innings with eleven strikeouts.

Mooch Lilly (Lorton, VA 2024) is a pitcher for the ACE Elite 2023 who is an uncommitted right-handed pitcher with great size and projects well. Lilly has good arm speed and feel for the mound. He came in with bases loaded and two outs in the fifth inning and went right after the hitters. Lilly got the job done on two pitches while getting a weak fly out to center field.




Jordan Capuano (Bristow, VA 2023) is pitching for the Stars Baseball Ferrick team and is an uncommitted right-handed pitcher. Capuano came into relief showcasing a power arm while going right after the hitters. He topped 86 mph and struck out the first batter he saw. He has a lot of room to gain and grow.


Christopher McCullers (Round Hill, VA 2023) is a real presence on the mound with a tall and very projectable frame. The West Virginia commit is playing for the Stars Baseball Freeman blowing the ball by the hitters from pitch one. He worked with a great tempo going right after the hitters with a swing and miss fastball topping 87 mph. McCullers mixes in a tight slider out of the same release point making it very hard for the hitters to pick up. Finished the day pitching three innings, giving up no hits, and striking out four. In the last game of the day, McCullers showed off his bat crushing a three-run home run.


Brody Shawn (Alexandria, VA 2023) has a very deceptive arm action with a lot of room to grow. The uncommitted right-handed pitcher is playing for the ACE Elite 2023 and flashed signs that he is going to be a prime pitcher one day with a power arm and a good feel for the slider. In the third inning of work he pitched around a lead off walk. Finished his day pitching three innings and striking out three.

Charles Krebs (Purcellville,VA 2023) came in to pitch in the bottom of the fifth inning and was lights out. The uncommitted right-handed pitcher playing for the ACE Elite 2023 worked with a very fast tempo and challenged the hitters from pitch one. Krebs pitched around a walk, struck out the last two batters in the inning, and went one inning with no hits and two striking outs.

Kyle Carpe (Ashburn, VA 2023) playing for the Stars Baseball Freeman is an uncommitted catcher who showcased power at the plate in the last game of the day by hitting a two-run homerun. Carpe was seeing the ball great today as he finished the day going two for four with a homerun and three RBI.
