14U WWBA Scout Notes: Day 1 

Early in the morning Luke Costello (2024, Fairview, Penn.) provided a lot of strikes for the Canes National team as he pounded the zone with a fastball up to 80 mph. Costello is a physical righthander with a strong lower half that can swing the bat at a high level as well. The delivery is pretty high intensity wise but he repeats well and is able to manipulate the strike zone with a fastball, curveball combination. The breaking ball has a pretty substantial difference in velocity from his fastball but he can land it down in the zone and kept hitters off balance all game long.
