16u WWBA Scout Notes: Day 1 | Day 2


Florida commit, William Ross (2022 Winter Garden, Fla.) got the start for his Florida Dodgers Scout Team and filled it up. Ross shows a huge frame standing at 6-8 with an already filling out build. The overall operation is clean as he shows an athletic delivery. He delivers from a high slot as he does a good job of getting extended down the mound. He ran the fastball up to 88 mph and did a good job of holding velocity throughout his outing. The breaking ball was advanced as well as he spun it well and landed it for strikes, showing 11-5 movements. His changeup was nasty in the mid 70’s that he tunnels very well. The pitchability is what stood out the most as he had great feel for his three-pitch arsenal. He ended his outing with four punchouts in 5 innings tossed. Look for Ross to continue to progress in his prep career and possibly make some draft noise if he is to make that jump.
