14u BCS Scout Notes: Days 1 & 2

Starting out the first game of the tournament over at City of Palms was Titans Baseball and projectable righthander Fisher Cantrell (2023, Shiiloh, Ga.) who showed some impressive stuff despite not having his best control. He’s a lean and athletic 6-3, 165 pound righthander with immense physical upside itself, let alone the actual stuff he has that gives him a high ceiling too. He sinks the ball well in the 80-84 mph range with a fast arm, however the arm stroke can get mistimed at foot strike and he should be more adept at body control as he actually fills out and adds strength. That being said, there’s three pitches that he can throw for strikes right now, with his secondaries highlighted by a changeup at 70 and a breaking ball in the mid 60s, and Cantrell should be followed closely throughout his career.
