Southeast Elite Championship Scout Notes: Day 1


Camron Poe (2023, Washington, Mo.) got the start for Team Elite Scout Team in the morning game on Tuesday. The operation is a bit cross-body and the arm stroke is a little long, but the ball comes out well up to 86 mph in this look. Poe is a tall and lean 6-2, 180 pounds with room to fill out. The command was a bit off at times as he was working out the kinks of not playing in several weeks, but he managed to keep the score close and give his team an opportunity to win. Poe pitched off of his fastball at a very high rate only going to his curveball a couple of times. The breaking ball has bite out of his hand and has plenty of potential moving forward. Poe certainly gave a promising look to see what is to come and project on for the rising sophomore lefthander and with more reps, as well as a Jr. National invite, Poe is sure to see the recruiting calls coming in.
