Deep South Surf's Up Champ. Scout Recaps

Jered Goodwin is in Panama City, Fla. this weekend covering the 13u & 14u Deep South Surf's Up Championships where he'll be providing scouts notes, covering all the action between the two age group. Below are ten players who caught his eye on the first day of play. 

Braden Booth
The strong bodied 5-11 and 170 pound back stop from Madison, AL is really advanced defensively. He showed soft hands and the ability to adjust his hips comfortably when the ball was in flight. Booth already has some natural receiving ability and combines that with a strong throwing arm. There is confidence in his arm, as there should be, as he back picked regularly with accuracy. The righthanded swing has a lot of strength as he creates torque during his turn. Hitting in the three-hole, Booth stroked a double in his fist at bat.
