Program History

Background of Establishment:
In 2005 Elite Athletics, Inc originated in the area Northeast of Atlanta in the Winder, Loganville, and Conyers areas and was founded by Brad Bouras. Elite Athletics focused primarily on the development of players through camps, clinics, and lessons. By popular demand, the players and parents asked that Elite Athletics begin a program to help assist the players in the area reach their goals in being recruited and being scouted to the next level in college or professional baseball.

The program, “Team Elite” was created and launched in the fall of 2005 to give the players more exposure to the highest competition, college coaches recruiting and MLB pro scouts by playing in the most prestigious tournaments as a full program. These goals were set and focused on with all efforts by incorporating a unique system of staffing teams that work together under the same management. This system helped Team Elite operate as one organization and not separate franchised teams. Brad added on several key staff members and managers over the years, that joined him in trying to make the program the best that it could be for the players.

To this day, the same system has been in place as all of the teams are under the same management and system per age group with over 70-80 teams year round. In a group effort, all 5 partners and the management team are working to improve the organization in all areas.

Through the year 2020, Team Elite has assisted with several thousand players being signed to college and hundreds of players into professional baseball. While the program maintains the original stance and focus to do anything possible to improve the program for players in an effort to help them reach the next level.

Development:
With teams starting as early as 8u and spanning up to 18u, Team Elite has focused on development first to ensure that players can move up the ladder to eventually play after high school when they reach that age. Players are consistently worked with between their evaluation process, competitive schedule, and training year round.
Relationships- TE FAMILY!

Putting aside the competitive play and wins over the years in national championships, the staff at Team Elite consistently agrees that the program was built from the “Relationships”.  The Team Elite staff treasure as much as anything, the relationships built over the years and attribute much of the success and growth of the program to the loyal and supporting families that have participated in the program since 2005.  These relationships are forever engraved in the staff’s minds as to this day, the focus is “TE Family”.

Current Owners and Leadership:

2019 Scouting Highlight
“The talented roster Team Elite brought to the 2019 16u WWBA jumps to mind right away. On paper they were one of the top teams heading into the tournament with top-100 prospects scattered throughout the roster, though as we’ve come to know, being the best on paper and the being the best on the field are two completely different things. The 16u WWBA truly is a gauntlet of a challenge to take home the championship and Team Elite proved ready and able, going a perfect 12-0 in the tournament which included winning a triple-header through the preliminary stages of the playoffs only to get through a double header on championship day. Izaac Pacheco was the main attraction throughout the week as he connected for six (!) home runs throughout the tournament, showing big time power to all fields even when pitchers were pitching to him carefully. He had the safety of hitting in an almost entirely D-1 committed lineup meaning pitchers couldn’t necessarily work around him as there were four others players (Brady House, Ian Moller, Benny Montgomery and Luke Leto) who are now ranked in the top-10, capable of doing damage at any given moment. The pitching staff was loaded up with high-level arms, including the top ranked arm in the country with Christian Little who delivered a gem when it was his turn to pitch. Brady House, the top ranked player in the country hit .448 on the week and picked up the win in the championship game, running his fastball up to 96 mph.” -Jheremy Brown

Historical Scout Highlight
"The other scouting moment that jumps out was the first time I, and the slew of college coaches on hand, saw current Vanderbilt hurler Kumar Rocker take the mound. Sitting behind the backstop at Hillgrove High School with program in hand, the 6-foot-4, 220-pound Rocker came out of the bullpen for Team Elite and the buzz quickly began as college coaches thought they may have an outstanding late add to their 2016 recruiting class. He wasn’t listed in the program as he was a late add from the 15u club to help the 16u club, but was working an easy upper-80s, topping out at 90 mph with the same low-effort release, all of which would certainly play at the next level for a rising senior in high school. Somebody quickly went over to the dugout and learned both the name and grad year of the unlisted arm, came back and shared he had just finished his freshman year of high school. Just like that, Kumar Rocker was at the forefront of the amateur baseball world. During the next update of the Perfect Game rankings Rocker went from unranked to No. 1 in the country and remained in the top-10 throughout his prep career before once again establishing the No. 1 position, only this time it was in the 2021 MLB Draft rankings.” -Jheremy Brown
