2021 Rankings: Risers & Gut Feel

Every spring we see players take the next step in terms of development and on field performance and below Jered Goodwin looks at nine player who had done just that, even with the shortened seasons. He also provided 11 names who were his gut feel guys, players who we could look back on one day and say "wow, what a steal" or "how did he end up in college".

Risers 

Josh Hartle
Perfect Game scouts have always admired the rate in which Hartle quickly disposes of hitters on the national level. His immensely projectable frame, long and whippy arm action and very tough 3/4 slot made his mostly mid-80s fastball play way up. Combine that with good feel of an upper-70s slider and darting changeup and he was more than equipped to go toe-to-toe with the best in the country. This spring the arsenal made a jump and he was topping in the low-90s, just as many PG scouts had predicted. This gives Hartle one of the highest floor/
