JUCO Top 25: March 3 | Top 300 JUCO Prospects

The top of the rankings mostly stayed the same this week, though with plenty of movement throughout the rest of the Top 25. In fact, the top six stayed stationary, with John A. Logan and Wabash Valley holding onto the Nos. 1 and 2 spots, respectively, followed by a pair of Texas schools in Grayson and McLennan at No. 3 and No. 4. Iowa Western holds strong at No. 5, while Johnson County is right on everyone's heels at No. 6.

From No. 7 on, there was a good bit of movement. Central Arizona hit a snag with 1-3 week that saw them tumble to No. 21 overall, with Northwest Florida State and LSU-Eunice, who is 20-0, each move up a slot to new season-high rankings of Nos. 7 and 8, respectively. San Jac bounced back with a good week following a loss to Grayson last Monday and moved back into the Top 10 at No. 9, while Crowder is off to a huge start at 20-1 and join the top 10 for the first time all season. Crowder has a huge matchup with JeffCo this weekend, in a four-game set that will tell us a lot about each club.

Newcomer Odessa jumps all the way from unranked to No. 11 on the heels of an 18-2 start down in West Texas in what's looking like a really strong club. NorCal is represented in a big way with Sacramento City and Ohlone right next to each other at Nos. 12 and 13 while Southern Nevada held steady at No. 14 and Yavapai climbed three more spots to No. 15 on the heels of a very loud start at 22-3. The other newcomer to the rankings this week, joining Odessa, is Eastern Oklahoma, who checked in at No. 22 at 18-3 overall coming off of a big series win over Connors State.

Conference play has either started or is almost upon us across the country, so there will likely be a fair bit of movement week-in and week-out from here on, with lots of talented clubs jockeying for position. Keep an eye on the NWAC, as they've finally started to get games under their belts out there, with a handful of draft prospects creating some early buzz.

Rankings are based on games through Sunday, March 8.
