2020 Preseason JUCO Top 25 Team Reports

1. McLennan (Texas)
Our pick-to-click in Grand Junction this year, McLennan heads into the 2020 season absolutely loaded both positionally and in the pitching staff, highlighted by both star power and absurd depth. Connor Phillips has a chance to be a first round draft choice this spring, he leads the way on a pitching staff that also includes high-end pieces like Dawson Sweatt, Riggs Threadgill, and Mason Hilton. The rotation and bullpen roles will shake themselves out as the season gets going, but Coach Thompson is comfortable regardless of who takes the bump, with other key pieces being Joey Martin, Rene Ramos, and Tanner Brooks also looking to grab key innings. Offensively, Jalen Battles leads the way from the shortstop position atop the lineup, as he and right fielder Brett Squires are both potential high-drafts, with Cole Moore, Garrett Martin, and freshman catcher Jimmy Crooks all expected to be major pieces for the Highlanders.

DII/DIII/NAIA Rankings Update: April 24

Ryan Gallagher of UC Santa Barbara threw a complete game shutout and leads the Gauchos staff into the Top-25 while Tennessee's Christian Moore went 9-for-15 with 4 home runs and 9 RBI.

Well, here we go folks, we have one month left in the regular season and things continue to get more unpredictable on the national landscape. We are seeing some new clubs making statements out west and non-Power 5s on the east coast continuing to jockey for post-season host consideration.
