The Bruins have become a mainstay in the recruiting rankings, and not only have they done a nice job of locking down top prospects, but also in getting them to campus and further developing their talents. Just two years ago they managed to welcome Matt McLain to Los Angeles despite a first-round selection by the Arizona Diamondbacks the June prior, and they, of course, landed Gerrit Cole despite also hearing his name called in the first round by the New York Yankees his senior year of high school.
