About a dozen scouts lined up to watch game #1 at Independence High School between Hitters Academy from Racine, Wisconsin vs Iowa Select Sole/Frazier from Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Top players from both states were scattered amongst both lineups with some getting looks for MLB's June Amateur Draft. The game ended in a 7-7 tie, however, this game and others were filled with many great performances this weekend. Some top performers are listed below with our new features on Top Pitchers and Top Hitters of each grad year for each weekend.

Pitcher of the Week: Nick Gottilla (2019, Davenport Assumption HS) made his first appearance of the Spring and did not disappoint. The lanky left hander ran his fastball up to 87 with some deceptive tailing action. His sharp breaking ball at 72 provides a great complementary pitch. Gottilla provides plenty of deception in his delivery and was very impressive in striking out eight in three innings pitched while showing good control, walking two. Gottilla is a fascinating left handed prospect with plenty of room to grow. University of Central Florida commit.
