2022 Top Prospects

Tommy Specht  OF - 2022 - Dubuque, IA
Kentucky

Specht really showed off the tools in this one, running a 6.48 second sixty yard dash and throwing 96 mph from the outfield. His measurables are about as loud as anyone in the class, and he proved that he can hit high level pitching, as he found two hard barrels during the game.

Justin Hackett  RHP - 2022 - Winterset, IA
TCU

Hackett was nothing short of dominant in his two innings, as he struck out the side in each and generated double digit swings and misses. His notorious 12-6 curveball was as good as ever, and his changeup was an impressive development from our past looks. Pair that with a 92 mph fastball, and you have an elite arsenal on your hands.

Cade Obermueller  LHP - 2022 - Iowa City, IA
Iowa

Obermueller was lights-out as well, throwing a quick and efficient two innings and topping out at 91 mph from the left side. The delivery is loose and athletic and easy to project on, especially when you take into account that he has yet to finish growing. He features two potentially plus pitches, with a sharp/late breaking slider and a fastball with natural cut across the zone.

Nate Snead  RHP - 2022 - South Milwaukee, WI
Tennessee

Snead is another uber-athletic prospect with exciting upside. The delivery is smooth and easy and the ball really jumps out of his hand. He topped out at 92 mph in this one, showing excellent arm speed and plenty of room to fill in the 6-foot-2 frame. He also featured good feel for a 11-5 curveball with good depth and late vertical drop.

Tyler Deleskiewicz  RHP - 2022 - Genoa City, WI
Wisconsin-Milwaukee

Deleskiewicz stands at an imposing 6-foot-5, 218-pounds, and he makes for an extremely uncomfortable at-bat due to his deceptive delivery and wipeout stuff. The big right-hander sat 88-90 mph from a tough angle, and his slider has sharp/late-breaking sweep that plays well from his low three-quarters slot. He generated swing and miss with both pitches and showed the ability to locate his fastball to both sides of the plate.

Rocko Brzezniak  3B - 2022 - Matawan, NJ
Rowan College at Gloucester County

Brzezniak is a strong and physical prospect who put up some big numbers in this one. He recorded a 97 mph exit velo and threw 90 mph across the infield. He ran a 6.97 second sixty yard dash time and he moves very well for his size, especially in the infield, where he showed smooth actions with good twitch.

Connor Jenkins  OF - 2022 - Festus, MO
St Louis Community College

Jenkins fits that same bill, as he is another strong ang physically-advanced prospect with impressive measurables. He showed elite speed and arm strength, as he ran a 6.58 second sixty yard dash time and threw 92 mph from the outfield. He also has big power potential in the right-handed swing, as he recorded a 97 mph exit velo.

Anthony Watts  RHP - 2022 - Clive, IA
Creighton

Watts is another arm who has plenty of projection to dream upon. He stands at a long and lanky 6-foot-5, 185-pounds, and there is plenty of room to fill in the frame. He showed a loose arm with a low effort delivery, and the ball really jumps out of his hands. He ran his fastball up to 91 mph in this look, and he certainly has high upside moving forward.

Gable Mitchell  SS - 2022 - Iowa City, IA
Iowa

Mitchell put together an impressive all-around performance in this one, running a 6.77 second sixty yard dash time and throwing 90 mph across the infield. He has advanced twitch and quickness, especially in the middle infield, where he showed elite range. He is a talented switch hitter who showed promise on both sides during BP.

Aaron Savary  RHP - 2022 - Dubuque, IA
Iowa

Savary is as clean and polished as they come on the mound, and it was no different in this one, as he struck out five in his two innings pitched. He ran his fastball up to 91 mph and his breaking ball proved to be a problem for opposing hitters, as he threw it wherever/whenever he wanted it and it showed 11-5 shape with sharp two-lane action.

Brayden Marks  RHP - 2022 - Elkhorn, WI
Bradley

Marks stands at an imposing 6-foot-6, 225-pounds, with plenty of strength and physicality. The big right-hander is quite polished for his size, though, as he featured an impressive four-pitch mix with advanced pitchability. He ran as fastball up to 89 mph and showed three off speed pitches, each with different movement, that he could command.

Justin Roulston  OF - 2022 - Los Angeles, CA
Long Beach State

Roulston showcased an intriguing combination of power and speed in this one. He is an elite runner, recording a 6.50 second sixty yard dash time, and he showed easy juice during BP. The primary outfielder has a physical 6-foot-4, 205-pound frame, and there is plenty of strength to the swing. He produced loud contact during his round, sending consistent line drives deep into the pull side gap.
