Brock Archie (2026 C, Paris, TN) smoked a ball in the left center field gap in his first at bat showcasing some projectable strength at eh point of contact. He also added a caught stealing behind the plate in the top of the first inning making an accurate throw to second base.
Matthew Hopkinson (2026 RHP, Mobile, AL) Looked good over his three innings of work with a fastball that topped out at 83 mph and lived in the low 80’s for most of the outing. The slider showed flashes of tilt with swing and miss potential in the low 70’s as it swept through the zone.
Sawyer Pearsall (2026 OF, Bessemer, AL) picked up a hit in each of his first two at bats including a triple over the left fielder’s head. He showcased his 6.6 speed on the triple as well as scoring from second base on a base hit his first time on base.
Kayden Tyre (2026 SS, Nicholls, GA) dropped the barrel on an outer half fastball driving it down the line in right field for extra bases. He did a nice job staying simple with the swing and taking advantage of the what the pitcher gave him.
Blayden Caballero (2027 SS, Parkland, FL) continued to show solid defensive actions though out the game making plays in the outfield as well as on the dirt. He threw out a runner a the plate in the first inning and made a solid pick at second base later. At the plate he found some barrels with a smooth line drive type swing.
Andrew Bennett (2027 RHP, Mobile, AL) continued his big day taking the mound and running the fastball up to 86 mph. The fastball sat mostly in the low to mid 80’s and was paired with a low 70’s slider that he landed to both sides of the plate with spin in the 2300’s.
Nolan Brister (2026 RHP, Spring Hill, TN) picked up a hit in his last at bat of the game getting the bat head out on a low 80’s fastball and smoking a line drive. He did a nice job of getting ahead in the count and hunting the fastball with good rhythm and timing to the swing.
Nolan Ramoley (2026 RHP, Palos Park, IL) drove in a run in his last at bat driving a fastball into left field. He showed good strength and barrel control getting the bat head to contact out front with extension in the arms.
Bryce Rivers (2026 SS, Mobile, AL) picked up two hits in game action with a single early on and a triple to the wall in center field in his last at bat. The power he showed in batting practice translates well to the game with a swing that is easily repeatable.
Zion Jackson (2028 SS, Ingleside, TX) picked up two hits in game one, both times impacting the ball to the pull side. His first hit drove in a run as a sinking liner dropped into left center field and his second knock was tucked just inside the third base bag.
