1-Columbia Blue vs 2-Red Game Highlights (Sunday)

5/15/2022

Ricky Lopez (2026, New York, NY) continued his hot weekend at the plate with another base knock. Dumping a single into right field during his first trip to the plate Sunday morning, going with the fastball on the outer half.

Dante Caridi (2027, Cresskill, NJ) brought home Columbia blue’s teams first run with an RBI-single into right after battling through an 18-pitch at-bat, remaining disciplined at the plate showcasing a keen eye. Caridi’s single to left in the bottom half of the 4th would be his second knock of the game. Going 3-for-3, Caridi shot his third single over the second baseman’s head in his final trip to the plate.

Zack Floyd (2026, Georgetown, MA) stayed on a breaking ball, shooting it back up the middle for a single to get things going for the red team in the second inning. Floyd kept his hands back creating tension before working the barrel to the point of contact.

Maxwell Henry (2026, Broadlands, VA) offered an intriguing look on the mound as he got the start for the red team Sunday morning. A high-waisted, young athletic frame, Henry worked in the mid-to-upper-70s, working his fastball around the zone as he was able to get some swing-and-misses. Tossing two innings for the red squad, he flashed a slurve shaped breaking ball with sharp vertical and horizontal tilt with low-2000s RPMs.

Jason Amalbert (2026, East Hanover, NJ) was very impressive during his time on the mound. The young, projectable right-hander worked in low-to-mid-80s, working both sides of the plate. A simple operation with minimal moving parts, Amalbert works efficiently down the slope remaining on line to his target. A quick arm with some whip to his arm action, his mid-80s fastball looks effortless as the velocity will continue to climb as he adds strength. Showcasing some two-way talent, the New Jersey-native collected two knocks at the plate including a loud double that one-hopped the left field fence.

Landon Bauer (2026, Purcellville, VA) had himself some productive trips to the plate as he collected a couple knocks during Sunday’s game action. Singling through the right side during his first at-bat, Bauer would reach again with another single in his next at-bat. Bauer has continued to find barrels and make hard contact throughout the weekend.

Roberto Valdes Jr. (2025, Bay Shore, NY) defensive plays didn’t go unnoticed. Making several plays on the move manning both third and short, the Long Island-native continues to impress this weekend in multiple facets of the game as he continues to display mature actions.

1-Columbia Blue vs. 2-Red Game Highlights

5/14/2022

Landon Bauer (2026 2B, Purcellville, VA) started the game off with a sweet line drive stroke to the pull side, showcasing a level bat plane with bat speed through the zone. The projectable 5’9” 150 righty got the barrel out in front with post contact extension present.

Ricky Lopez (2027 SS, New York, NY) flashed the natural athleticism on both the offensive and defensive ends, displaying range up the middle from SS while also collecting a hard LD knock to LF in his first AB. Lopez has young strength in the frame with good barrel control and the ability to create backspin on the baseball.

Jackson Almeida's (2026 C, Pittsfield, MA) smooth BP swing translated directly in game where the righty singled to LF in his first AB followed by a hard pull side double in AB number two. Almeida displayed plenty of balance in the stroke with projection still to come in the 5’10” 170 lb frame.

Dan Rice (2026 OF, Colts Neck, NJ) sent a ball to the opposite right center field gap for a triple to start his day, displaying solid inside out mechanics with early power potential present. The 5’9” 145 lb righty also showed quickness around the bases, legging out three bags in the process.

Adam Stratz (2027 SS, Stroudsburg, PA) got himself on the stat sheet in his second AB, muscling a single down the RF line showing the ability to go with outside pitches. The 5’2” 105 lb IF/UT prospect has plenty of time to fill out and add strength in the future.

Jason Amalbert (2026 SS, East Hanover, NJ) shot a line drive single back up the middle in his second AB with bat speed and hand strength present. The 5’10” 150 lb righty has young strength in the lower half with solid weight shift and barrel extension.

Harrison Maull (2026 SS, Garnet Valley, PA) turned on an inside FB with ease during his second appearance at the dish, displaying a compact path with solid extension after contact. The 5’8” 145 lb frame flashes natural athleticism on both sides of the field.

Batting Practice Highlights

5/14/2022

Harrison Maull (2026 SS, Garnet Valley, PA) displayed consistent line drive impact from gap-to-gap throughout his round. The 2026 Grad uses a simple, repeatable stroke with good lower half torque, quickness to his hands and excellent feel for the barrel to drive the baseball with authority.

Ricky Lopez (2027 SS, New York, NY) was impressive during his round, as the quick twitch middle-infielder displayed lightning quick hands to deliver the barrel on-time frequently. He stays short and direct to the baseball, while flashing projectable power that will only continue to expand as he physically matures.

Roberto Valdes Jr (2025 SS, Bay Shore, NY) is an immensely projectable 6-foot, 145-pound athlete with a compact, line drive stroke and tons of power projection. He creates a ton of leverage out in front with his long levers and delivers the barrel with plenty of present bat speed. He stays through the middle-of-the field mostly but can turn the barrel on the inner half when necessary.

Jason Amalbert (2026 SS, East Hanover, NJ) impressed throughout his round, as the twitchy MIF/RHP showed tons of present bat speed and good feel for the barrel. He uses good lower half movements to create whip to his barrel and flashed future power potential with several well-struck balls to the pullside.

Jackson Almeida (2026 C, Pittsfield, MA) displayed a compact, line drive stroke with barrel skills and plenty of present bat speed during his round. The compactly built young backstop uses his lower half well to create torque and displays good leverage out in-front.

Matt Muzikant (2026 SS, Williston Park, NY) displayed bat-to-ball skills with some present bat speed to produce numerous line drives throughout his round. He stays short and direct with the barrel and delivers it with some authority.

Brandon Nadeau (2026 C, Berlin, MD) used a heavy barrel and good lower half movements to generate tons of line drive impact throughout his round. The 2026 catcher uses a simple, compact stroke and showed some power potential to the pullside.
