Ryan Castadio is a 2008 3B/RHP with a 6'0'', 170 lb. frame from Lemoore CA, who attends Lemoore HS. He has a lean, athletic body and just looks like an athletic baseball player. Castadio is like a lot of young, physically talented players in that he is still a bit raw in terms of putting all of his physical attributes into consistently usable baseball skills. His hands work well and he has some bat speed, with some projectable power. He did a nice job of working to stay gap to gap and worked to stay inside the ball. Defensively Castadio performed both at third base and in the outfield, showing ability in both spots, though he really did not look comfortable in the outfield. His reactions work well at third and he has a strong arm. Castadio would seem to be a prime candidate to take advantage of two years at the junior college level and come out on the other side in great shape for a D1 opportunity.
