Jake Cespedes Liriano is a 2023 OF/RHP with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Santo Domingo, SD who attends Casiano Cepeda. Nice athletic body with some present strength and room for more. 7.20 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder who charges hard to the baseball and will get out of control at times, high front side throwing, over the top arm slot with very good raw arm strength and carry. Right handed hitter, hits from a narrow base with a rock back load, hits under control, upper body hands driven swing with lots of bat speed, has present power and creates consistent back spin and carry, more power there with increased lower half use. Also pitched, big rocker step to start his delivery, high leg lift raise, same high front side as in the outfield, long and clean arm action. Fastball topped out at 84 mph, also threw a slow curveball with reduced arm speed. Very good all around athlete who should keep improving with more repetitions and strength.
