Armando Cruz is a 2023 SS/ with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Santo Domingo, NC who attends Dominican Republic. Athletic build with a high waist and long arms that will fill out very nicely. A primary shortstop with very good hands and a lightning quick release. Fast feet with rhythm throughout his defensive process. The game is slow to him at shortstop. Big arm, up to 92, with carry and accuracy. The right-handed hitter uses a leg lift to shift weight, attacks with body and throws hands hard. The load is consistent and fires slightly down to the ball creating low back spun liners. Good hand speed with intent to the pull side. Excellent prospect with some big tools that will carry.
