2020 National Underclass Showcase-Main Event
Elliott Bray is a 2022 RHP/OF with a 6-2 205 lb. frame from Hartselle, AL who attends Hartselle. He ran a 7.11 second sixty. A primary right-handed pitcher with a larger build. On the mound he showed a clean arm action working up to a three-quarters arm slot, he has some whip in the arm as he gets down hill with the fastball generating some arm side run to the plate in the upper 80's topping out at 90 mph, he also showed good feel for the zone with both of his off speed pitches, the curveball has tight spin with late 12-6 shape and the changeup shows good arm speed in the low 80's. In the outfield he showed young mechanics working deliberately to the baseball into a long gather with a shuffle as he gets his momentum going into his throws where he topped out at 91 mph. Right-handed hitter, he showed some impact skills to the pull side when he gets the swing timed up and the barrel out front, the hands are aggressive to the ball on a linear path. Excellent student. Named to the 2020 National Underclass Main Event Top Prospect List. Verbal commitment to Auburn.
