Brian Palmer is a 2008 3B/MIF/OF with a 6'1'', 180 lb. frame from Thousand Palms, CA, who attends Palm Desert HS. Palmer has a good frame that is projectable. Defensively he has nice footwork that will allow him to play all the infield positions. Palmer also shows range with the ability to get balls in the hole, and body control to make the play on slow rollers. At the plate he is a right handed hitter with a disciplined approach. Palmer has bat speed through the hitting zone. He has a quick swing and he is short to the ball. Although he is disciplined, Palmer is aggressive with balls in the zone. He gets leverage at contact that helps produce raw power. He hits the ball hard, and he stays balanced throughout his swing. Palmer plays the game the right way, and he is a good student as well.
