George Springer is a 2008 OF from Avon Old Farms HS, residing in New Britain, Connecticut, with a 6'2"/175 pound frame. George has an athletic frame. He hits from an open stance with a knee lift trigger. Springer has lift and strength in his swing with good bat speed and gap power. He centers the ball very well and makes consistent hard contact. George has good speed with a 6.87-60 yard. He has a very strong arm from the outfield at 94 mph with great carry and an accurate arm. Springer moves well defensively and covers ground in the outfield. He is a national level prospect.
