Edward Gedeon is a 2022 OF with a 6-3 185 lb. frame from Santo Domingo, NC who attends Romana. Large, athletic frame with broad shoulders and present strength to frame, additional room to fill. Ran a 6.99 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, fields the ball to side, long and whippy arm action through the backside, fast arm stroke and generates nice strength and carry on throws, ball comes out cleanly, intriguing tools to follow. Right-handed hitter, begins with a slightly open stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; utilizes a big leg lift trigger for timing in the box. Full swing path through the zone, loose and easy stroke with standout bat speed. Low effort operation overall, ball jumps off of the barrel hard to all fields and showed consistent impact at the point of contact. Very good student. Named to South Dominican Republic Top Prospect List.
