Michael Boyce is a 2023 OF/RHP, 3B with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Naperville, IL who attends Naperville Central. Large frame with strong physical build, has potential for added physical strength. Recorded 7.31 60 yd time, has improving quickness & agility. Primary positions are 3B and outfield, has fundamentally sound defensive skills in both positions. Has good raw arm strength, throws have on line carry with accuracy. Recorded 86 mph throw from the outfield, has good arm to play right field. RH hitter with straight away stance, has lower hand set to start swing. Line drive type hitter with middle of the field hitting approach. Showed quickness in hands with developing raw strength in swing. As RH pitcher, throws from 3/4 arm slot. FB up to 81 mph with arm side run and sinking action when down in the zone. Tries to locate FB to both sides of the plate, needs to refine FB command. CB has 11/5 to 3/4 type action. CH is still in development stage, has occasional fade & deception. Needs to continue to improve overall control & command of all pitches. Good student
