Jacob Gonzalez is a 2017 3B/1B with a 6-4 205 lb. frame from Scottsdale, AZ who attends Chaparral HS. Outstanding athletic build, big and strong with plenty of room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, open stance with a large leg lift trigger, has very good bat speed with quick hands, makes loud contact and can drive the ball hard to the pull side when extended through the ball, has lots of power potential. 7.10 runner, has good range at third base and shows good hands while moving, improving arm strength will the key to his development, has also played first base. Son of former big leaguer Luis Gonzalez. Excellent student, verbal commitment to Texas Christian. Selected for the Perfect Game All-American Classic.
