WWBA Underclass Scout Notes: Day 2

Cade Kurland (2023, Tampa, Fla.) proved why he is one of the better bats in the ’23 class in game two of pool play. The shortstop went 3-for-3 at the plate while collecting two singles and a triple. The triple came in the first inning off a 91 mph fastball. The ball was sent to straightaway center field and hit off the base of the fence just under the 410 feet sign. Kurland handles velocity extremely well and hit were all scorched and off 91, 89, and 85 mph respectively. The Florida commit swings with violence and possesses special bat speed. He is tooled up and capable of impacting the game is every facet. The ability that Kurland has to perform against high quality pitching stands out and will be a large factor moving toward his grad year.
