16u/17u NE Champ. Scout Notes: Days 1 & 2

Yale commit Beck Milner (2022, Park City, Utah) got off to a hot start on Day 1 of the 17U Northeast Championship, as the athletic backstop collected two hits in three at-bats including an RBI double. Milner implores a fairly simple setup with a wide, spread stance and tight hands. He incorporates a simple weight shift into contact and displays good leverage out in front to impact the baseball. The Park City, Utah native has present gap-to-gap power potential with good adjustability and feel for his barrel. The arm strength is what standouts in the field, as the 2022 grad uses a strong lower half to explode out of the crouch to deliver online, accurate throws with the aforementioned arm strength. He will continue to be someone to monitor this summer, as he has participated in numerous events already on the East Coast and will be attending the National Showcase in July.
