Matricardi put an exclamation point on what proved to be an impressive fall with another impressive performance, this time in Georgia as a part of the North Florida squad. Time will tell where he ultimately ends up as he's a rangy defender in center field with a short, quick stroke from the left side, but he also impressed during his time on the mound. The young southpaw ran his fastball up to 82 mph and was in complete control from the start, pounding the strike zone while showing a pair of sharp, late biting breaking balls in both his curveball and slider.
