Happy August to everyone reading!

What a wild ride we just had! 🤡 And it’s only going to get crazier this month!

Hot 🥵 fun in the Summertime ☀️

We just finished the Perfect Game National Showcase, held at Tropicana Field and the talent level the Class of 2023 brought was top shelf. Over 300 players showed up, as well as a herd of MLB scouts and college baseball coaches. The two big takeaways were 1) high-octane velocity and filthy spin, and 2) gold glove caliber defense played all over the field. It was a tough few days for the hitters, however, there were some guys that barreled some balls up!!!

A big shout out to Jered Goodwin, Greg Sabers, and the entire PG Staff that runs this event- they capture all the data and they film all the incredible action, as well as recording all the interviews with players. Daron Sutton and Dani Wexelman do a fantastic job!👏👏

We also reached out and interviewed approximately 100 potential Perfect Game All-American Classic finalists, and announced the rosters for that event last week. You can check those out here.

Jennifer Ford (PG Cares), Brad Clement (CEO), Luis Gonzalez (MLB ⭐️ STAR) and I were able to meet with them all! The PG All-American Classic will be played in Phoenix this year at the home of the Arizona Diamondbacks!🌵🏜

The pennant races are heating up in MLB ⚾️ and there are some crazy cool individual performances going on.

Ohtani just keeps doing things no one else has ever done and Judge (All Hail) is bringing back the memories of Bonds/Sosa/McGwire! What about Matt Carpenter?

Are the Mets for real? Are the Braves going to have another strong finish? Are the Orioles done with the rebuild and starting to add onto their history? Can the Padres catch the Dodgers? Can anyone catch the Yankees? They aren’t sleeping in Seattle anymore! 😴

The MLB Home Run Derby received higher ratings than the game itself and there is no argument from me! The Derby is the competition and the ASG is an exhibition. The Home Run Derby sold out and the ASG didn’t.

How much fun was the MLB presentation of the Draft? 👏👏👏

I was fortunate to be one of the 30 MLB Club Representatives (Rockies) again and was blessed to call out two young mens’ names. How about 20 former Perfect Game All-Americans going in the first round. The Top-5 (Jackson Holliday, Dru Jones, Kumar Rocker, Termarr Johnson, Elijah Green) were all PG All-Americans.

The impact Perfect Game has had in showcasing players for so many years was as evident as it has ever been with the number of PG alumni selected in the first two rounds. Jerry Ford’s vision of enabling all players to be seen has played out and helped many dreams come true for the players and their families. There were 5 families in attendance that I have gotten to know personally over the past 2 years!

So many smiles 😃😃😃! And tears of joy!😂😂😂
