Cole Crawford (2027, Cartersville, Ga.) certainly doesn't look like your typical 13u player, already standing at a long and athletic 6-foot-1, 181 pounds and the skill set on the diamond continues to set him apart from his peers. The first of several talented backstops to impress today, Crawford control his length well behind the plate, moving around with some bounce while repeatedly showing the ability to get his thumb under pitches and truly stick and present them for the umpire. As the 83 mph peak fastball on his profile signifies, the arm strength is a real weapon for Crawford behind the plate and though he wasn't challenge, just like the other catchers detailed below, it very much catches your attention in between innings with a quick transfer and real carry at the knees down to second base. On the offensive side of things he was held relatively quiet, picking up just a single through the left side in the second game of the double header, though he did show patience at the plate and a willingness to take his walks without readily expanding the zone but when the barrel did launch, there was plenty of bat speed coming through the zone.
