Jason Bello (2024, Fort Myers, Fla.) got his WWBA week off to a hot start when he went 2-for-2 with a home run and a triple, driving in three runs and scoring two. The USF commit twice drove the baseball to the big part of the yard seeing it deep and letting the strength in his hands do the damage at the point of contact. His home run in his first at-bat came to right-center field and he would follow that up with a triple to straight-away center field, driving the ball high off the extended fencing. The numbers continue to stack up for Bello this summer as he is now hitting a cool .440 through 33 games with 17 extra-base hits. The power is something we saw from him at a younger age but has continued to progress nicely as he has matured and added to his frame, showing some good physicality at 6-foot, 180 pounds while still maintaining his athleticism on the infield. It will be interesting to follow along and see how Bello follows up his big Day 1 performance as him and his Exposure Prime group look poised for a deep playoff run.
