15u National Elite Scout Notes: Day 1

Drew Kleinheider (2025, Edwardsville, Ill.) was getting it done on both sides of the baseball all morning for GBA St. Louis as he got the start at shortstop. The glove made the first impact on the game as the GBA pitching staff was doing a nice job using the bottom of the zone and getting ground balls. Kleinheider showed an ability to move well in each direction and a good internal clock that allows him to play smooth with a quite confidence. The actions and ability to beat the ball to the spot allow him to get the feet in the right spot and carry some momentum into the throws with arm strength. At the plate he contributed a hit driving a single back up the middle to plate a run.
