Mason Bixby (2023, San Antonio, Texas) had another short outing in his start but it was a good bit better stuff than we saw last week as he looked more comfortable with the full mix. Still getting significantly downhill, he worked in the 93-94 range for the most part creating really difficult plane from his 6-foot-7 frame. The slider has been a good pitch for him for some time but really showed well in this look throwing it downhill as well with late bite in the firm 85-87 range. It’s already a pretty loud mix given the whole of the profile and the upside is still vast.
